An effective daily routine

Post  Evony on Thu Oct 08, 2009 9:46 pm

Here's how I start my day:

FIRST:
Accept daily quests (mostly union and samurai tax).
Hit Super wheel once; hit Junior wheel 3 times (all gold, no diamonds).
Check injury barracks. Cure wounded troops.
Check levels of Warehouse and Granary.

NEXT:
Farm. Hit my usual target farm cities for resources.
Hunt. Kill merfolk, harpies, and devils to finish union badge quests.
Check resource balances of cities. Buy what I need. Transport or Sell what I don't.

LAST:
Fortify soldiers and heroes. Upgrade soldiers where possible. Recruit more troops BEFORE building.*
Check levels of Storage and Shelter.
Check Tavern for greens and better.
Check Store for greens and better.
Start some building projects.

* Remember, if your resource rate is fast enough, all you care about is how many troops you can START making. This means you want to recruit before you build, while your resource numbers are high, and let it create a stream of troops all day for you. Just don't build so much that you exhaust your resources and can't pay for your recruitment.

Does anyone do anything that works better than this? Am I missing any tricks?

You seem to have covered it. But don't forget about the heroic quests in between all the monster killings!

Rolling Eyes Embarassed See, I don't do the Heroic Saga quests at all. I really should start. It was just beating down my heroes and armies and didn't seem worth it. I'd probably level a lot faster if I did them.

That also depends of available monsters on the map. If there aren't any near you for many squares away, an heroic quest that takes up 35 minutes will do fine, etc. So juggling things like this is useful
